A song from your favorite band

It's questionable, whether my favorite "band" is actually a band.  I loved the Backstreet Boys for very many years and continue to support them.  My favorite song by them has changed a number of times over the years, but it seems to have settled on this little B-side (I think) called "Welcome To My Heart".  I think it's simple and just lovely:

Other Backstreet Boys songs:
"Treat Me Right"
"Back To Your Heart"
"Crawling Back To You"
"Don't Disturb This Groove"

If Lady Antebellum is a band, then "Perfect Day" would be my favorite. I also love "When You Got A Good Thing".

The Weepies must be a band -- my favorite of theirs is "Living In Twilight". Really fantastic song ... which I will probably end up writing about under another category.

I also "discovered" the New Kids On The Block today. I mean, I've known about them since I can remember ... and all those hours spent watching VH1 helped too. I even knew the chorus to "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" and part of the dance move that accompanies it. I knew all the boys' names ... I'd just never really listened.

Well, with Jonathan Knight (who is currently probably the best looking New Kid) announcing that he came out 20 years ago, I YouTubed him, which led to watching nearly all the original NKOTB videos. When I was younger and would watch their VH1 specials, I was always under the impression Joey McIntyre had been the most popular and the heartthrob of the bunch, but oh me, oh my, Jordan Knight was quite hot in his youth, wasn't he?

My impression of him was always off of his 1999 single "Give It To You", which I thought was kind of a joke. Little did I know that just 9 years earlier, he'd been true pop idol material. I still think Jordan Knight as he is now looks like a more badassed Donny Osmond, but maybe that's just me.

Or maybe not ...

MIAMI HERALD: Have you ever been mistaken for another celebrity?
JORDAN:Some homeless guy called me Donny Osmond once.

Now I am regretting not getting tickets to the NKOTBSB tour.
