A few pick-me-ups

Been feeling a little down, a little under the weather over the past few days.

Every once in a while, I feel like I need to get my ducks all in a row, reinvigorate myself and my routine and make sure I'm not being led astray by things that I will regret wasting my time on in the future. Such is the life of a twentysomething in her third or maybe fourth year of quarterlife crisis. Not fun.

My life, lately, in photos:

I was down to my last two handfuls after two bags of Coconut M&Ms when I realized some M&Ms shells had some cute tropical designs on them.

I'd been needing new slippers and spotted these on clearance at Target.
The color is oddly off; they're actually a bright aqua blue, and the ribbons are neon green.

Have been going back and forth on what to wear to Jordan Knight's album release party next week, which means I've been buying or trying on a gazillion tops or dresses and not feeling satisfied with any. I picked this yellow-and-pink striped dress up at H&M for $15. Not sure how I feel about it. It has a navy-and-pink stripe complement which I couldn't find in my size but will look for again tomorrow.

I hate last-minute stressful shopping, but sometimes it's unavoidable. Even when it is.

Had some gelato from Eataly yesterday, in fior de latte (sweet cream), cioccolato and nocciola (hazelnut). I highly recommend the nocciola; the others were alright.

And this was after having had lunch at the Shake Shack, topped off with the frozen custard of the day, fromage blanc with a raspberry swirl (delicious). The Shake Shack never disappoints!

Also dropped into Hill Country Chicken, which had the most adorable decor I have probably ever seen at a restaurant. Kitschy and cozy yet clean and modern.

Good night ... hope tomorrow is fulfilling.
