Stacks of things I have yet to pack sum
up the past 9 months of my life pretty well ...

Packing again. I really don't enjoy packing, because I'm kind of neurotic when it comes to packing. I'm the weird girl who brings only a carry-on tote bag for a week in another city. I guess you could call me a serial underpacker, except I never really underpack. I get annoyed with myself if I pack something and don't find any use for it when I'm on vacation.

But anyway, packing this time around is a little different. I've accumulated some stuff (mostly books and a little bit of clothing) and am having a pretty difficult time squeezing everything in. I don't think I've ever had to deal with this much STUFF in suitcases before, not even when I headed home after a year in England (and traveled all over). It's been tremendously stressful for me.

Other than that, I've been thinking about what I want to do when I get home. A lot of people have been asking me this question, so in no particular order (and for laughs, though it's completely truthful):

- Taco Bell (or Qdoba/Chipotle or any type of Mexican restaurant, but Taco Bell is the easiest and fastest, even though it's barely Mexican at all)
- Target!
- the library
- Bertucci's
- pizza, New York style ... not the thin crust kind, but the kind you need to mop grease off the top of
- ICE CREAM ... oh, creamy, luscious ice cream, how I've missed you (it's grainy and icy over here)
- Panera Bread
- H&M, even if it's only to window shop
- and maybe some museums ... I know Taipei is full of its own type of contemporary/young adult culture, but frankly, I don't have the resources I do in New York City to discover the types of venues and events I enjoy back home.
