I guess I should've seen it coming, but it took until last week for me to realize it because for my upcoming birthday, the one thing I really want is an electronic posture training device. My mother's last gift to me, for Christmas 2015, was a personal-sized WaterPik water flosser. All I want anymore is skincare or health-related products.

I don't know if it's part of this "healthy lifestyle" trend or whether it's because I'm getting older, but it excites me to read about skincare, to read about the health benefits of certain foods, and to try out healthier versions of certain recipes.

This blog has been in flux since 2011 or so, when my life was thrown for a rollercoaster ride between quitting my job here in New York City, moving to Asia, coming back to New York, moving down South, applying for graduate programs, moving to the Midwest, tirelessly hacking my way through that graduate program, returning to the South, and finally finding myself right back where I started -- back in good ole New York City.

As the moves added up, I started looking for a place to settle. I think I'm settling on settling here.

It's not where I thought I wanted to be, and probably isn't where I really want to be, but it's where I am and can be for the time being. And there's a serenity in giving into that, at least for me there is. As you probably figured, I've more or less been running around like a chicken with its head cut off for the past 5+ years.

So, for now, I will be in New York City.
My blog will be about my interest in developing a healthy lifestyle, whatever that may mean and wherever that may take me.

So, if all goes to plan, I'll be trying to post once a week or so with my latest discoveries and health-related happenings in my life -- not unlike some of the posts I used to put up. The graduate program I undertook was in Social Work with a specialization in Aging, so I'm interested in combining my interests in natural beauty, psychology, and aging and figuring how to do it in the most graceful, effortless ways while having tons of fun.

You in?
