Photo: New Zealand snow

While traveling, I took "notes" on my iPhone about places or things that seemed out of the ordinary to me ... I'm going to post them once a week with corresponding photographs until I run out of notes to share.

In New York City, the snow glistens with a slick sheen, like snow warmed and cooled again and again. In New Zealand, the untouched snow sparkles in the sun as you move alongside its piles, reminiscent of Christmases long past.
