Music Monday: A little Lykke Li (and more Ed Sheeran)

This week's been a baby rollercoaster of emotions, the high points marked by Ed Sheeran and new Taylor Swift songs, and the low points marked by other Ed Sheeran songs, and by "Everybody But Me" by Lykke Li.

Although the song is about a party or a social setting, the reluctance to engage/the rebellion is much the same. I've been trying to find solace in books (now I remember why I loved reading so much as a child!), but I haven't fallen back into that habit yet.

And I've been listening to Ed Sheeran again and again. I really like everything about his music ... the clarity and sweetness of his voice, the way he folds beatbox, rap and even bleeps and blips of electronica into his otherwise straightforward acoustic pop music. And his songwriting skills! It's like hacking 15 years off of John Mayer's bitterness, and taking away his whiskey and Ambien, too.

  1. Love Lykke Li. Dance, dance, dance is pretty good too. Ed Sheeran has an amazing voice. I have his album on repeat. A team is my favourite, especially the acoustic version.
