Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Shampoo
As part of my Project Pan 2013, I wanted to finally finish using the Aussie Sun-Touched Shine Shampoo I bought on clearance at Target in 2010 or 2011. The shampoo's claims: "cleans dull hair to reveal great shine" and boasts ingredients such as guava and sea kelp.

The shampoo itself looks similar to that of other clarifying shampoos: it's got a gel-like consistency, with a light pinkish-purple tint, and it smells fruity, slightly citrus.

The product description reads:
Let some light in! With touches of natural Guava and Sea Kelp, Sun-Touched Shine Shampoo reveals your natural shine in no time.
I didn't realize that most people used the Aussie Sun-Touched Shine shampoo as a clarifying shampoo until recently, when I was reading reviews. As you may already know, I have very thick, dry and somewhat frizzy hair. For me, this shampoo was surprisingly moisturizing, and I used it more as a moisturizing shampoo than a clarifying shampoo. However, towards the end, I realized that if I used it three or more times in a row, my hair did seem a little dry.

Overall, it's a fantastic drugstore shampoo, and a clarifying (I guess!) shampoo that isn't too harsh. I've long had trouble finding a shampoo for my dry hair that didn't make my scalp feel overly greasy or weighed down. The downside to the shampoo is that it contains sodium benzoate and, of course, sodium laureth sulfate. If those ingredients aren't a concern to you, this is a good overall shampoo at a fantastic price. It retails for about $3.99 for 13.5 fl ounces/400 ml.
