Book Challenge 2013

Sunday, May 19, 2013

I've been looking to get rid of a lot of my stuff, and where else to start than with the books I've been meaning to read for years and years but haven't gotten around to? I figured if I blogged about some of these books, I'd feel more inclined to actually finish them this year. Posting about challenges in the past has helped me feel more accountable for them, and has helped me actually get through them, or at least work harder at them.

So between now and January, I'm hoping to somehow finish a book a month ...

1. "Gone With The Wind" by Margaret Mitchell
2. "On Beauty" by Zadie Smith
3. "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden
4. "Back Then" by Anne Bernays and Justin Kaplan
5. "Snow Falling on Cedars" by David Guterson
6. "White Teeth" by Zadie Smith
7. "Angels in America" by Tony Kushner

I think "Gone With The Wind" will be particularly challenging, since it's almost twice as long "The Fountainhead," which I thought was already a feat to get through. It's a good thing I'm giving myself an extra half-month to work on these!
